How to equip your Child and Yourself

CLEVER PLAY LEARNING READINESS SCREENING (5 to 7 years)

Screening can be done thru out the year to see where the child is at, it tests the whole child approach, the test takes about an hour and a half, it is more informal in the beginning of the year.

FORMAL APTITUDE TEST (6 to 7 years) FOR (SCHOOL BEGINNERS)

A formal Aptitude Test is done thru out the year to see if the learners has made progress in areas of concern and that they are ready to progress to Grade 1.

Language development is key factor to a Childs growth. Reading and writing is the way to express that development on paper or digitally.

NEURO DYNAMIX PRACTITIONER THROUGH THE MIND MOVES

Neuro Dynamix is a gross and fine motor intervention programme that goes to the heart of underlying issues that so many learners with barriers to learning experience.

Pre -School Programmes We Offer!

CLEVER PLAY LEARNING READINESS SCREENING (5 to 7 years)

Screening Assessment with parents, but 1 on 1 with child. This screening helps to identify the problem areas. It gives you time to work on these skills throughout the year till it is time for the formal Aptitude Test for school beginners (6-7) to progress to Grade 1.

COST: R500 including the report and feedback to parents. The report is valid for 5 years.

FORMAL APTITUDE TEST (6 to 7 years) FOR SCHOOL BEGINNERS:

The formal Aptitude Test will take place in September – October to see if Grade R learners has made progress in areas of concern and that they are ready to progress to Grade 1.
COST: R600 including the report and feedback to parents.

Every programme can be presented in either Afrikaans or English.

I work from home, but I also go out to schools and homes depending on circumstances.

‘READING READINESS’ PROGRAMME THROUGH MIND MOVES INSTITUTE:

This programme focuses on:

The pre-reading skills that are needed before a child is ready to learn to read.
Language development is an auditory-kinaesthetic way (listen and balance before reading)
Building a playful bridge from listening and speaking to most of the abstract symbols of the English Language.
Placing each individual letter on and around the child’s body
The correct letter formation used most often in English
Eliminating confusion, reversals and mirror writing, perhaps even reducing or eliminating dyslexia

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE MIND MOVES READINESS PROGRAMME:

Grade R learners will benefit from the preparation for Grade 1
Grade 1 learners will benefit by conquering most of the letter symbols of the English/Afrikaans alphabet.
Older learners who are struggling with writing and reading will be able to catch up on those letters that are eluding them.

COST: R250 per lesson, 1 lesson per month for free including a workbook.

It is designed as an effective and extensive resource for those involved in remediating problems with reading and writing. Neuro Dynamix is a school-based intervention programme in support of the SBST.

A differentiated INTERVENTION PLAN for every learner assessed.

An intervention that dovetails with the SIAS (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support)

NEURO DYNAMIX IS APPLICABLE FOR:

Retained learners with a SNA-1 (Individual Support Plan)
Progressed learners with a SNA-1
Learners who already have an ISP (Individual Support Plan) but need more differentiated support.
Learners with barriers to learning who need an ISP and who have not entered the remedial ‘system’ yet.

COST OF TEST: R600 including the report and feedback to parents.
AGE GROUPS (3-18 years): To help kids with reading and writing difficulty. Then a suitable intervention plan will be put in place that is best for the child’s needs.
